Our Postgraduate Certificate, like the full MA History, is rigorous, flexible and wide-ranging, offering you a high degree of choice in terms of the modules you take without the dissertation element. You take a practical module in research techniques (Research Methods in History), plus you will take four other optional modules of your own choice. These optional modules enable you to study the latest in historical research in the specialist fields of the module tutors.

Key employability skills include: learning how to create and undertake a research project; analytical reasoning; the marshalling and collation of information; problem-solving; and various forms of information presentation.
