Considering the demand for Waste Managers and waste minimisation practitioners, as well as recent developments in waste management, this programme is designed for students to acquire the understanding and skills necessary to meet the present needs and future challenges of waste management agencies and industries. Although much of the details of waste management regulations and pratice are based on the requirements of the industry in the UK, the principles have a much wider application, and hence the programme is also designed to appeal to those intending to practice overseas. The applied nature of the subject is recognised and a variety of practical aspects are included in the modules.
