Programme Overview

This programme has been designed to meet industry demand for engineers who can apply sustainability principles and techniques to materials and process engineering. The programme is suitable for science and engineering graduates and focuses on training in advanced materials engineering and process engineering skills for a sustainable future.

You will develop knowledge and skills in core concepts such as processing energy and materials technology, modelling and simulation, energy management, nanomaterials, sustainable design and manufacture, fuel cell systems, and renewable energy technologies.

Following the taught component of the course, a substantial research project and dissertation offers the opportunity to put specialist skills, knowledge, and understanding into practice, deepening technical understanding through the application of theory to a project relevant to Sustainable Chemical Engineering Practice.
