Applied Meteorology and Climate with Management. University of Reading

The programme starts in October with introductory lectures including: Atmospheric physics, Introduction to computing, Forecasting systems and applications and Managing individuals and organisations. A two-day residential field module is included in term 1 while during term 2 you choose from a selection of advanced modules. Options include: Statistics for weather and climate science, Hazardous weather, Climate change, Tropical weather systems and another management module. Other course elements in the second term include a team project lasting one week, visits to employers including the Met Office, presentations by employed Reading Meteorology graduates and attendance at Royal Met Society meetings.
