- This excellent course is for graduates who wish to train as primary
school teachers - we are one of a small number of UK higher education
institutions to be awarded Category A status by Ofsted for this
programme
- It is a one-year course that trains you to teach children from 5-11
years - if successful, you will be recommended to the General Teaching
Council for England (GTCE) for the award of Qualified Teacher Status
(QTS), as well as gaining a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE)
which is worth 60 Masters-level credits
- You focus on the teaching of the National Curriculum for primary schools and specialise in teaching Key Stages 1 and 2
