The overall aim of this Masters programme is to provide postgraduate training for non-nutrition science graduates who wish to persue a career in human nutrition.

Nutritionists elicit, disseminate and apply the knowledge drawn from the relevant sciences so as to promote an understanding of the effects of diet on growth, development, reproductive capacity, health and well-being of man and animals. Nutritionists may work in research, the food industry and in health promotion.
