This course deals with some of the most pressing issues of world politics such as the causes of war and peace, the pressures and opportunities of globalisation, the threats posed by terrorism, and the problems of global poverty and injustice.

The aim of the MSc is to enhance students’ knowledge, professional understanding and analytical skills necessary to improve and/or transform the governance and management of defence and security systems. Through a combination of theoretical and empirical tools, the degree will provide students with the necessary competencies and skills to acquire a thorough understanding of the latest socio-political, business, management and legal thinking and to translate this knowledge into practical action that shapes national and international issues and events.
