This is a nationally recognised qualification designed for classroom practitioners looking to gain a high level of knowledge and skill in order to expertly meet the needs of post-16 students and adults with specific learning difficulties (SpLDs) in reading, writing and spelling.

The course is designed to help you to appreciate the problems experienced by learners/students with SpLD; examine the debates which take place about the nature and causes of such learning difficulties and the controversies about the form of education provision required. 

Additionally, this course will be of particular interest to those wishing to specialise in the field of dyslexia.
